Beautiful great museum. With a very cheap entry fee. We went there with no expectations. But spend a great time with children. People are very friendly and they explain everything to the children. Mills, blacksmith, bakery, clock repairer were our favourites. Highly recommended.
So worth a visit. A tiny informative museum, with an inside and outside showgrounds. It gives an impression about the past and the historical landmarks. Their is some extra building in the making. Which incl a (modern 😉) café. We spent about an hour and a bit there.
If you wanna have a great family day I recommend this highly. Easy to reach and a outdoor pool area next door
What an amzing cultural treasure! This mueseum is filled with amazing treasures from Germany's history. The museum is beautifully laid out with little vignettes from long ago. The Staff are amazing and very welcoming!
Immerse yourself in an old, completely different world. Childhood memories, general store, toilet, zinc tub, kitchen cupboard, dishes, milk cans and bowls. First refrigerator. It's missing... the family drama, the overwhelmed father at the bottle, the mother as a drama queen - the past comes up. - It's all ok? I was missing a cozy coffee offer on site.
Located in the serenity of Syke
I can't say exactly how many times we've been here... definitely more than 10 times… always very nice and always something new to see….!
Now we have finally looked at the gold treasure from our village (located in Gessel - Leerßen)... when we were allowed to enter the site we were already at the excavation.
Worth seeing and really worth a visit!
Very nicely prepared and lots of interesting information…
A very nice museum, with a large gold treasure
Delightful, smaller (about 2 hours is enough for a visit) open-air museum with a lot of local color! Absolutely recommended. Also very suitable for older children who can read the signs.
